Sediment and urine strips - compact and reliable

Following the trend towards ever more compact, combined solutions, the latest model, the FUS-3000, has now been introduced after the FUS-2000, which has already proven itself 1000 times over worldwide.

This is a hybrid analyzer that combines both complete chemical diagnostics via urine tests and sediment analysis in a single instrument. The advantages are obvious. Using a set of rules that can be scaled according to customer requirements, the sediment is prepared automatically according to defined criteria and without further manual intervention via the high-resolution camera.

The camera takes 2000 images within 10 seconds. The magnification by a factor of 400 allows an assessment of the morphology that corresponds to the familiar view through a microscope. Intelligent software and a technically sophisticated system that brings the cells into the focus of the camera without overlaps ensure a largely automated assignment of the cells and other formed components.

Unrecognized elements can be assessed on the screen afterwards without having to use the microscope. The main advantages here are time management, standardization and documentation. The changeover phase for the specialist personnel from manual sediment assessment to automation is also much easier.

13 additional parameters in the sediment

With the technology leap from the proven FUS-2000 to the FUS-3000, 13 parameters have been added. NRBC, MIRBC,ARBC, SRBC, OCRBC in the red cell line to differentiate hematuria, RTEP and TREP to identify tubule damage, GRAN, BROAD, OCAS, WAXY for renal parenchymal damage and glomerulonephritis, BACI, SUCO indicate urinary tract infection, BYST, HYST for fungal infection, CAOX, URIC, MAPH, OCRY for renal and bladder stone diagnosis, are collected in one step together with the standard sediment analyzer parameters.

4 in 1 solution on less than 80cm width

An optional integrated refractometer for measuring staining, turbidity and a conductivity meter for high-precision renal function testing add two more technologies to the new model. By measuring conductivity, interference from polar substances such as glucose and urea can be ruled out.

The urine strip also provides more information

Without the need for routine reflex testing and without additional costs, creatinine, albumin and ascorbic acid are now also measured as standard simultaneously with the classic 10 parameters (these are also available) on a single strip. The advantages of measuring creatinine and albumin at the same time in the screening cannot be denied.

Experience shows that there are always abnormalities that indicate further diagnostic measures in the direction of diabetes. Ascorbic acid in itself has little significance, but a high ascorbic acid level can lead to false-negative statements with regard to blood and glucose in the urine. Of course, many test strips offer ascorbic acid protection. However, limits can be detected at high concentrations, which are reliably detected via a separate ascorbic acid measurement field.
