The 2-Channel Kit includes BC002, a biochip containing one 0.4 µm membrane separating the culture chamber into a top and bottom channel accessible via ports.
Cell suspensions, coatings, and gels can be introduced individually into each channel, allowing cell layers and complex tissues to form on both sides of the membrane.
The separation of the channels makes it possible to supply the cells and tissues with individual media and at individual flow rates per channel (or even without any flow).
In addition, circulating cell populations can be introduced. Suitable reservoirs facilitate perfusion and ensure a supply of nutrients for up to three days without changing the media.
