This instrument is used to detect, count and size the aerosol particles present in the air. Unlike a microbial air sampler, which gives the number and the type of micro-organism captured on the agar plate, the particle counter gives the number, and the size of the no-viable particles present in the air. These particles can be the transport agents for viable ones (micro-organisms).

It provides data output both in standard cleanroom formats and in mass concentration (ug/m3).
The possibility to integrate the instrument with temperature and relative humidity probes generates more detailed environmental assessments.
The firmware is user friendly, and the presence of a pen facilitates the use of the touch screen keyboard.
