ROTEM® Sigma

When acute bleeding occurs, every minute counts. The ROTEM® Sigma supports you in cardiac surgery, trauma care, intensive care, transplant medicine and obstetrics, helping you assess your patients' coagulation status quickly and reliably.

Depending on how your institution is organized, the device can be placed directly at the point of care or centrally in the laboratory. Results are then transmitted live to the operating room or intensive care unit, so that institutions with centralized diagnostics also benefit from a fast, seamless flow of information to the treatment team.

The ROTEM® Sigma is based on the well-established cup-and-pin method. It measures kinetic changes in clot elasticity and provides both quantitative and qualitative results, making it possible to determine whether bleeding is caused by thrombocytopenia, fibrinogen deficiency, factor deficiency or hyperfibrinolysis.

This makes the device particularly practical in everyday use:

• Closed, single-use cartridges that can be stored at room temperature
• No sample preparation or manual pipetting required
• Intuitive operation via a large touchscreen
