It's the same for many of us: we speak one or even several foreign languages. But when it comes to the nitty-gritty and we want to understand something properly, it is easiest for us to do so in our mother tongue. For example, when a new diagnostic device is installed in the laboratory. Let's be honest: even if it would possibly work in another language, commissioning a device in one's own language is usually preferable to a foreign language, isn't it?
Our 3-DIFF haematology analyser from Horiba, the Microsemi CRP LC-767G, for example, "speaks" six different languages. This means that both the instrument's software and the corresponding manuals are available in several languages.

Well, for German speakers this is perhaps also understandable in English or French. The screen display becomes a bit more detailed and possibly more challenging when the CRP reagent has to be replaced:

Fun Fact:
By the way, did you know that the Microsemi - regardless of the language of setting - smiles at you day after day?
Explanation: The manufacturing company Horiba is based in Japan. And in the Japanese language, the phonetic sequence "emi" means "smile".
