The three regional teams of the Care and Software sales team in Switzerland were given the task of creating their «most beautiful project» during the lock-down in spring 2020. The creative sales staff went to work full of verve: among other things, they brainstormed, discussed, created concepts, designed, researched, made phone calls, tinkered, filmed and sang. The jury awarded the project «Strong together for our earth» of «Team Ost» (covers the Eastern part of Switzerland) as the best project.
The team members Valentina Celestre, Jasmin Rullo, Monika Tütsch, Guido Keller and Philipp Mathys based their project related to Axonlab's 30th anniversary: they have launched a unique fundraising campaign for their customers.
The rainforest in Borneo (Malaysia) was chosen as the focus topic. The destruction of the rainforest in the state of Sarawak through deforestation, the establishment of plantations and the realisation of large dam projects is not only destroying the livelihood of the indigenous population, the Penan, but also that of the native animal species.
The Bruno Manser Fonds is committed to preserving the rainforests and its inhabitants with various projects such as reforestation, infrastructure (e.g. schools), legal assistance, mapping of the forests, etc.
The Swiss environmental and human rights activist Bruno Manser lived with the Penan in Sarawak from 1984 onwards and supported them in their non-violent resistance. He has been missing in the rainforest since May 2000.
30 years consist of 10,950 days. This amount in Swiss francs was defined as the donation target by «Team Ost». Each amount donated by customers will be doubled by Axonlab up to CHF 10,590. However, «Team Ost» cannot achieve this ambitious goal with the customers in their region alone. Axonlab is therefore extending the donation project to other customer groups, regions and all countries in which Axonlab is active.
You too can get involved with the rainforest. Be inspired by this video about the fundraising campaign and contact email@example.com for more information and material about the project.
