On 11 June 2026, together with our partner Snibe, we were delighted to welcome customers and prospective clients from across the DACH region to the exclusive Axon Innovation Day in Vienna. Under the motto “By experts, for experts”, the afternoon was packed with innovations, fascinating specialist presentations, practical insights and one-to-one discussions centred on the future of laboratory diagnostics.
In the modern event venue of the NH Hotel Vienna Airport, laboratory managers, diagnostics experts and industry representatives came together to learn about the latest developments in the fields of immunology, laboratory automation, digitalisation and precision diagnostics. The focus was on the new MAGLUMI® X3 and MAGLUMI® X6 systems, innovative automation solutions from Snibe, as well as the latest scientific findings presented by renowned international speakers.
A day full of innovations and forward-looking ideas
The opening keynote by Axonlab and Snibe made it clear what both companies are striving for: to combine high-performance diagnostic solutions with excellent service and to provide laboratories with optimal support in meeting the challenges of today and tomorrow.
In the subsequent keynote presentation, Snibe showcased its latest technological developments – including the innovative NACA technology, which enables gold-standard accuracy for certain analytes, as well as state-of-the-art fully automated solutions for laboratory environments of all sizes.
Further highlights included the high-calibre scientific presentations:
- Prof. Mario Plebani (University of Padua) explained the crucial importance of quality in laboratory medicine and demonstrated how new technologies can improve clinical decision-making.
- Prof. Katell Peoc’h (Université Paris Cité) provided an impressive outlook on the future of laboratory medicine – characterised by digitalisation, artificial intelligence, sustainability and new skill sets.
- Prof. Dr Philipp von Landenberg (Eurofins GeLaMed) presented the latest developments in type 1 diabetes diagnostics and highlighted the growing importance of early and highly sensitive detection methods.
Hands-on technology
In addition to the presentations, live demonstrations of the new MAGLUMI® X3 and X6 systems offered the opportunity to familiarise oneself with the devices first-hand. Participants were able to exchange views with experts from Axonlab and Snibe, discuss specific queries and experience the systems in practical use.
The networking breaks and the evening social event also provided numerous opportunities for professional exchange, making new contacts and engaging in valuable discussions about the future of laboratory diagnostics.
Thank you very much for taking part
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to all participants, our speakers and the entire Snibe team for a thoroughly successful Innovation Day. The high professional standard of the presentations, the keen interest in the solutions presented and the numerous inspiring conversations made this event a truly special experience.
