Axonlab Expands into Southern Africa with Acquisition of Separation Scientific

Axonlab, a European diagnostic and medical IT company, today announced its expansion into Southern Africa through the acquisition of Separation Scientific SA (Pty) Ltd, headquartered in Johannesburg, South Africa.

This move marks a clear step in Axonlab’s ambition to become a globally active healthcare solutions provider. By entering Sub-Saharan Africa - one of the fastest-growing and most underserved healthcare regions worldwide - Axonlab is opening a new chapter of growth while strengthening access to diagnostics and healthcare solutions for a population of over 1.3 billion people.

Separation Scientific operates across South Africa, Mauritius, and multiple Southern African and Indian Ocean markets. As part of the transaction, two new entities will join the Axonlab Group:

• Axon Lab South Africa Holdings (Pty) Ltd.
• Axon Lab Ltd. Mauritius

All of the approximately 100 employees will remain, ensuring operational continuity and strong local competence from day one.
