Axonlab expands to Poland

Axon Lab AG acquires the distribution company Color Trading Sp. z o.o. with effect from March 1st, 2024 and will focus on building a strong local IVD and hospital supply business in Poland. The Warsaw-based company will continue to operate under the Axonlab Group. All employees will be retained.
With the acquisition of the company as part of a share deal, Axonlab will take over all existing business in Poland as of March 1st, 2024. “By entering the Polish market, we are pursuing our strategic goal of further expanding our Axon spirit based Point-of-Care IVD business and strengthening our foothold in diagnostics in another important market in Europe”, says Lukas R. Hadorn, CEO of Axonlab.
So far, the Swiss-based company with headquarters in Baden-Dättwil is operating in ten different European countries including Germany, Austria, Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Slovenia and Croatia. With Poland, country no. 11 joins the group. This makes Axonlab an important player in the European IVD and Medtech business across national borders.
This expansion into Poland is an important step in the pursuit of the growth strategy of the Axonlab Group. With a population of over 37 million, Poland is the largest Eastern European market after Russia. Entry and future operations in the Polish market therefore represent a significant opportunity for Axonlab.
