Axonlab partners with Zybio MALDI-TOF for early identification of bacteria in clinical samples

We are pleased to announce a new collaboration in the field of Microbiology with Zybio Inc., a high-tech enterprise specialized in R&D, manufacture, sales and technical services of in vitro diagnostic reagents and equipment.

Thanks to this valuable collaboration with Zybio, Axonlab enlarges its portfolio in the field of mass spectrometry. The distribution agreement between Zybio and Axonlab includes the Mass Spectrometry System EXS 2600. Axonlab will take over the representation and commercialization efforts into Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg and Slovenia as of today.

EXS 2600 is a rapid identification device for bacteria. Additionally to its rich strains database, which allows bringing accurate identification results, the system offers a convenient one-screen display test spectra, which benefits in a convenient software operation of the tool. Another promising feature of the device is the high ion propulsion technology.
