Interview with Markus Häuselmann
Medical technology beyond borders – all the way to Gabon: Markus Häuselmann reflects on 20 years at Axonlab. Markus has been part of our team for two decades. He brings not only technical expertise but also passion and heart – whether in the office or during his assignments in Lambaréné.

What motivated you to join Axonlab 20 years ago?
„A former colleague who was already working at Axonlab recruited me. The independent working style, the return to medical technology with quality products, and an exciting field of work fully convinced me.“
How have you developed over time, and what changes have you witnessed?
„Everything started off in a very family-like environment and then steadily grew – but not to our disadvantage. On the contrary, the work environment became more interesting with more products and great new colleagues. I also really liked taking over the social project in Lambaréné. This year will be my 15th mission – a small personal anniversary.“
What do you appreciate most about working at Axonlab?
„I love the independent and autonomous work the most. The great trust we receive as 'co-entrepreneurs' within certain boundaries is not something to take for granted.“
Is there a project or experience that stands out in your memory?
„The missions to Lambaréné always create the strongest memories and adventures. I regularly share updates in the blog so those interested can read more exciting impressions and stories.“
What’s your favorite product at Axonlab and why?
„The Microsemi CRP is my favorite because it’s a high-quality and very service-friendly product. There have been significant improvements compared to the first Micros CRP.“
What advice would you give to someone just starting at Axonlab?
„Approach your new colleagues and ask for help if needed – we have a fantastic team.“
What three things would you take with you to a deserted island?
„A hammock, fishing gear, and a lighter.“
If you could give a ‘great colleague’ award to someone at Axonlab, who would it be and why?
„I think I’d give it to Marco Trivellin. He’s been with me for half my life. We started out as electromechanics apprentices and later worked at two more companies before Axonlab. Today, we’ve worked closely together for 19 years in the field, all the way to Lambaréné. He’s someone you can count on.“
