With the Yumizen H500 CRP, Horiba is launching a high-quality 5-DIFF haematology analyser including CRP, which requires only three reagents for analysis and is characterised by its user-friendliness.

The Yumizen H500 CRP, based on the Yumizen 5x0 V4 series and the Microsemi CRP, has been further developed over four generations and has proven itself extremely well.

These proven technologies have been continuously improved over many years using the latest innovations. This ensures accurate diagnoses and patient safety.

The new Yumizen H500 has been specially developed for smaller laboratories and is ideal for use in a variety of hospital environments, doctors' offices, etc. for the rapid and highly accurate detection of infections and inflammation. With the help of 5-DIFF and CRP, an even better triage of viral or bacterial infections is possible, allowing a more targeted antibiotic therapy.

C-reactive protein (CRP) is a highly efficient and sensitive biomarker with fast kinetics, high amplitude variation, synthesis 6 hours after infection, a short half-life of 18 hours and a rapid decline with effective antibiotic therapy. Since CRP has a narrow normal reference range (less than 2 mg/l), it is very effective in detecting a patient's inflammatory or infectious status during the first visit. CRP usually rises significantly in bacterial infections and only slightly in viral infections. Combining the advantages of 5-part white blood cell differentiation and CRP makes it easier for clinicians to understand the pathology and is also effective in monitoring the course of the disease, e.g. whether the treatment is working.

Rapid access to quantitative, detailed leukocyte information and red blood cell count alongside CRP values also enables better clinical assessment of complex cases in the fields of infectiology, haematology, immunology and oncology.

The rapid provision of CBC, 5-DIFF and CRP from a single EDTA tube (27 µl venous or capillary blood) significantly reduces turnaround times and costs. The use of capillary blood samples is ideal for paediatric patients. In addition to 5-DIFF, the Yumizen H500 CRP provides detailed insights into three populations of immature white blood cells (WBC) and delivers 38 parameters, including: IML, IMM, IMG, ALY, CRP, as well as options for infection screening for malaria and dengue fever.

The Yumizen H500 CRP enables efficient and easy patient triage. It can also help reduce unnecessary antimicrobial treatments, shorten treatment duration and hospital stays, and lower costs.
